Scottish Universities Insight Institute SDG Conference
Thursday 25th November 2021, 9.30-12.30am.
The Scottish Universities Insight Institute is organising an online conference, ‘Accelerating Progress towards the UN’s Global Goals: Knowledge into Practice’, to bring together the projects supported as part of its 3 rounds of calls focusing on the UN’s SDGs and carried out over 2019–2021, in partnership with Zero Waste Scotland.
Each of the eleven projects brings a different perspective to achieving a fairer, greener Scotland, yet there is also a strong interconnection between many of the projects, generating cross cutting insights. More details about each project can be found on the SUII website.
This event will weave together the threads from these projects and the programme as a whole and consider how the knowledge generated and shared by the programme can be translated into practice. Working from the SDG goals (and their relationship to the National Performance Framework in Scotland), the conference will take place against the background of two major challenges: recovery from the Covid pandemic; and achieving a just and rapid transition to net-zero carbon emissions.
The conference will take place on Zoom on Thursday 25 November 2021, 9.30-12.30. More details can be found here.
