Vacancy: Economic Infrastructure Development Specialist at SOSE
Do you have a specialism or experience within the extensive area of Economic Development and Infrastructure and a sound grasp of the economic, environmental and social landscapes of the South of Scotland and/or similar rural areas?
Have you delivered innovative solutions across a wide range of areas including, but not limited to, Tourism, Creative Industries, Construction, Property, Infrastructure, Energy?

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
As an Economic Development and Infrastructure Specialist you’ll take a lead role in developing and delivering a range of complex and innovative projects and initiatives aimed at driving forward and maximising the economic, environmental and social development of the South of Scotland and will act as the key point of contact with partners involved in joint initiatives.
You’ll need to:
- Ensure that all requisite information is gathered and recorded, in order to enable effective strategic analysis, in turn leading to more targeted projects with higher economic, environmental and social impact
- Maintain your knowledge of the constantly evolving economic and political landscape as well as wider sectoral developments, and opportunities and challenges specific to each area within the South of Scotland
