Public Health Scotland Wants to Hear from Employers: Help Shape a Healthier Workforce
Public Health Scotland (PHS) is asking employers across Scotland to take part in a short survey to share how they currently support employee health and wellbeing, and what more could be done with the right support.
With life expectancy falling and health inequalities widening, rising ill health is contributing to growing economic inactivity. Employers have a vital role to play. Good work supports good health, and a healthy workforce is essential for a thriving economy.
To support the development of a new Scottish Health and Work Action Plan, PHS has launched an Employer Survey to capture employer perspectives, priorities, challenges and opportunities around workforce health.
Why take part now?
The survey will remain open throughout August and responses gathered by the end of the month will help shape a key discussion with the Deputy First Minister in mid-September. The findings will directly influence how Scotland approaches workforce health going forward.
Robert Atkinson, Organisational Lead for Fair Work and Employability at PHS said,
“Supporting employee health is good for people, good for business and good for Scotland. We’re asking employers to share their insight to help us understand what’s working, and what support is needed.”
This survey is part of wider employer engagement activity being run by PHS, including 1-2-1 conversations, group meetings and workshops. If you’d like to get involved in these, get in touch using the link below.
