Community Wealth Building: Centre for Excellence

We are working with the Scottish Government and partners to support the implementation and scaling of Community Wealth Building (CWB) across Scotland following the passing of the Community Wealth Building (Scotland) Bill.

The EDAS Centre for Excellence provides a national hub for information, learning, collaboration, and practical support as Scotland moves from policy development into delivery and statutory implementation of Community Wealth Building.

Community Wealth Building is now a core component of Scotland’s economic development framework, embedded within public sector duties and aligned with wider ambitions for a wellbeing economy. It is being implemented by local authorities, public bodies, enterprise agencies and anchor institutions across Scotland.

We are working with the Scottish Government, to support the growth of community wealth building across Scotland. The Centre for excellence is a central hub providing information, learning, sharing, support and guidance for the Community Wealth Building movement.

In this Centre for Excellence we will continue to work with our partners to showcase a range of activities and resources designed to help advance Community Wealth Building, offering insights and best practice.
