We’re delighted to announce the second event of our ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship’ series, the first of which welcomed Ana Stewart, co-author of the Pathways report, to talk about women in entrepreneurship.

The second event, entitled Innovation in Scotland Part 1: The 10-year Strategy shares the latest insight on Scotland’s 10-year Innovation Strategy. Subtopics will include a summary of each key sector, the overarching aims of the strategy, implementation and delivery, and funding and investment. It will also provide more detail on building Scotland’s strengths and capabilities around the four innovation clusters of Energy Transition, Health & Life Sciences, Data & Digital Technologies, and Advanced Manufacturing. The event will take place on Thursday 5th October from 11:30 – 13:00.

Those attending the session will hear from the following:

  • Alasdair Macleod, Head of Innovation, Scottish Government
  • Derek Shaw, Director of Innovation & Place, Scottish Enterprise
  • Helen Cross, Director of Research and Innovation, Scottish Funding Council
  • Uzma Khan, Vice Principal for Economic Development and Innovation & Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Governance), University of Glasgow

The event will be chaired by Paul Zealey, Skills Planning Lead, Skills Development Scotland and EDAS Board Member.
