Still Networking Scotland in Europe: The Value of Continued European Engagement

May 23 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Designed in partnership with Scotland Europa, the latest event from EDAS will give members insight into Scotland’s evolving relationship with the EU and what ‘networking Scotland in Europe’ means post-Brexit.

Taking place online, Thursday 23rd May, 10:00 – 11:30 (UK time) the event will delve into the importance of Scotland maintaining strong ties with European partners and encouraging collaboration between ourselves and European neighbours. It will be chaired by EDAS Board Member, Charlie Woods, who was a previous CEO of Scotland Europa. Topics for discussion will also include:

  • Learning opportunities from the last 7 years, since the referendum.
  • Building on Scottish partners’ EU funding experience to make the most of UK association to Horizon Europe (the EU’s research and innovation funding programme).
  • How engagement strategies have adapted to the tumultuous landscape of Brexit and the global pandemic, illustrated with case studies from members.

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of EDAS, and the event will draw on learning and discussions from Scotland Europa’s 30th anniversary activities in 2022. EDAS members will hear about opportunities to engage in other Scotland Europa events in the year ahead.
