Skills Development Scotland (SDS) produces a suite of resources which provide robust information on the labour market.
As part of that commitment, SDS publishes a monthly report providing succinct and up-to-date evidence on Scotland’s economy, people and skills.
The UK economic outlook has been downgraded amid heightened uncertainty around energy prices and inflation, with these conditions now feeding through to the labour market, which is showing signs of weakening. This month’s spotlight presents insights from the latest 2024-based population projections released by the National Records of Scotland.
