Environmental Economist Researcher – Scottish Enterprise
Scottish Enterprise are seeking an Environmental Economist Researcher to help them develop their understanding of the environmental impact of their policies and what can be done to mitigate these as part of their contribution to achieving net zero.
The role
The successful candidate will develop SE’s approach to appraising the carbon equivalent impact of its projects and programmes. You will also look at ways to implement more comprehensive environmental impact assessments and Cost Benefit methodologies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking the lead in assessing the environmental economic impacts such as carbon assessments of SE’s policies and programmes
- Deciding how SE should implement environmental impact assessment policies, across both market and non-market costs and benefits
- Considering how SE could apply Cost Benefit Analysis to some of its larger projects and programmes, and the methods needed if environmentalist externalities are to be valued.
First stage interviews will be held on 8th April
Second stage interviews will be held 14th April.
